- in your community right now! Time is of the essence. Evangelism
is not something we put off until a later date. It is something
we do here and now -- right where we are.
When Jesus sent the seventy off, he did so with a sense of urgency. Both the Galatians text and the Gospel deal with the importance of the cross of Jesus. It is important! It is urgent! That is the message.
You can have an alarm clock and show how the alarm clock conveys the sense of urgency -- but not importance. A gold wedding ring is important -- but not urgent. The kingdom of God, however, is both urgent and important.
