Teachers or Parents: If your church practices the
imposition of ashes on Ash Wednesday, encourage your children to
participate -- even though they may not fully understand the
significance of what is going on. The gospel theme is genuine
faith versus hypocrisy. The children may not understand the
concept of hypocrisy, but they do understand the difference
between that which is real and that which is illusion or false.
* Collect holograms throughout Lent. These make interesting
classroom decorations.
