Good morning! I want to talk to you today about prayer. Can
anybody tell me what prayer is? (Let them answer.) Prayer is the
way we talk with God. What are some of the reasons we want to
talk with God? (Let them answer.) We pray to thank God for His
blessings or to ask for His help and guidance. Let's think about
the times we have said prayers over the last week. Can anybody
tell me about a prayer that you said this last week? (Let them
relate some instances where they or their family prayed.)
