No church here
Children's sermon
Object:
use your hands and teach the children about the church and all the people
(Folding hands) say: "Here is the church"
(Hold up both index fingers together) say: "Here is the steeple"
(Opening thumbs) say: "Open the doors"
(Unfolding hands to show your fingers) say: "and here are the people"
I like this little poem because it tells about some church buildings I have been in in my life. Sometimes there are many people and sometimes very few. What matters about church is not the building or if the building has a steeple, but the people and God who meets God's people in that place.
