a milk weed pod or a flower with seeds in it
Good morning, boys and girls. How many of you have taken a
nature walk this fall? Have you seen pods like mine (show your
plant)? It's fun to take these and blow them and watch the seeds
fly away. These plants are waiting for the wind or someone to
come along and spread the seeds. Each one of these is a seed for
a new plant. (Show them the seeds in the plant.) These seeds are
waiting to be freed from their plant. When they are free it is
like life is starting over for them.
