Unfunny laughter
Children's sermon
Object:
a tape recorder of someone laughing (or some kind of
laughing toy)
Most of us like to laugh. (Play the recording of laughter.)
Why do people laugh? (Let them answer.) We laugh because
something is funny. Sometimes we laugh because others are
laughing. Sometimes someone says something a funny way and we
just want to laugh. Most of the time we laugh because of
something being funny. But there are times when people laugh and
nothing is funny! Have you ever known someone do that? (Let
them answer.)
