Almost predictably, Sally had spent more of her work time talking with co-workers about morale issues the last few months. It always seemed to happen whenever the economy soured. Whether that was the final pressure that pushed people over the brink or not, Sally really didn't know. At such times, she found it difficult to get her "real" work done -- that which the company paid her to do.
