Any church can be stuffy...

Any church can be stuffy. I have been to several; perhaps you have as well. The Anglican churches of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries were stuffy. This is one of the reasons John and Charles Wesley, along with George Whitefield, had moved so many with evangelical fervor. However, they generally did not move the upper class, but only the working class and middle class.
