Ask any volunteer and they'll tell you that they are given more than they give. That's because volunteers have discovered that some of life's deepest joys come from giving. When you give of your talents, you are given the gifts of gratitude and respect. When you give love you receive love. When you give respect you are given respect in return. When you give the gift of time to someone through your willingness to listen, you are given the gift of time when you need to talk to someone who will listen to you.
