The gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, according to Bryan Green, are symbols of our offering to Christ, our King.
He wants the gold our personalities yielded to him; the daily frankincense of prayer and worship must ascend to his throne; and then there is the myrrh ... (which) typifies suffering and death.
