Charles Colson, one of the most notorious of the Watergate figures, has won wide respect for his ministry to prisoners. Prior to his conviction and prison term, Colson had a reputation for being tough and ruthless. As a result, he is often greeted with skepticism. Many people cannot believe he is a genuinely changed man. They believe he has an angle. They are skeptical of his sincerity. They cannot believe a man could come out of prison and then dedicate the rest of his life to preaching the Gospel to convicts and to working to provide more rehabilitative environments in our prisons.
