Daniel admits that "the visions of my head terrified me." Everyone has visions. For the very young, they seem to oscillate between two poles. There are the happy thoughts expressed in Moore's poem when "visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads." On the other hand children know well the terrors of nightmares. C. S. Lewis often effectively captured the overwhelming visions of children in his Narnia series. How would any adult feel, if walking into a closet, she entered a completely different universe at the back of it -- in the dark even?
