Dealing with the meantime
The night before he was assassinated, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. told a congregation to whom he was preaching, "I fear no man!" He said that knowing his life was in imminent danger from a variety of opponents who could see no other way to silence his views than to eliminate him. In the eyes of some individuals that possibility is the worst and most fearsome threat they can make. "All that a man has he will give for his life," Satan told God as they dialogued about Job (Job 2:4). That is how dreadful an alternative death looks to the majority of humanity.
