Do you remember the kindergarten...

Do you remember the kindergarten class in Sunday school when you were a little boy or girl? I do.
As she played the piano, the minister's wife sat on one of those round stools that turn. She was a pleasant person with a warm smile and a friendly word for each of us. We learned "Jesus Loves Me" and other children's songs.
Then we always had a Bible story. So we learned about David and Goliath, the birth of Jesus, the wonders of Jesus in stilling the tempest, and many, many other stories.
Each week, our teacher gave us a small picture card to take home, having to do with the Bible story. I can't seem to remember any of those cards except one. It showed a man standing in a field. Little flowers dotted the grass. In his arms he held a little lamb. Some sheep were at his feet looking up at him.
I took the picture home and had it on a stand beside my bed for a long time. The picture is long since gone, but it is as vivid as though it were right here beside me.
The reason I liked the picture so much is that I felt the love of that Good Shepherd, and my love for him was born.
