During the First World War, the great German armies were making what they hoped would be a final assault on Paris.
General Foch, the French commander, sent out this message to his troops. "The enemy is in front of us; the enemy is attacking both our flanks; there is nothing for us to do except attack!"
Paul, the warrior of the cross, never allowed "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" to deter him from witnessing through preaching, opposed by the mighty forces of Paganism as he continually was.
