Edmund Schlink, a German theologian, who taught at the University of Heidelberg, wrote a book of sermons titled, The Victor Speaks. The first half of the book was a treatment of the Seven Words Jesus spoke from the Cross. The second half of the book was based on Eight Words of the Risen Christ. It is worth nothing that the Seven Words from the Cross were not the "Last Words," as we often refer to them. The final words were from the Risen Christ, who can also say, "I am the Alpha and the Omega."
