Emphasis Preaching Journal

Every week at our church we devote a portion of our service to the wee ones in our congregation. As the pastor, I usually handle this worship responsibility. However, there are many talented volunteers who provide interesting and thought-provoking "Little Words for Little People." One Sunday the scripture passage chosen in the lectionary was 1 Corinthians 12:1. A teacher in our congregation invited the girls and boys to the steps in the chancel area of our sanctuary. She had in her hands a huge box wrapped in silver and gold paper.
