On fire but not consumed...
Illustration
"On fire but not consumed" is the image of the burning bush presented to Moses in his calling to the ministry. The burning bush is not only a symbol of God's purity and sanctity, but the inexhaustible supply of vitality and energy God gives to those called to do God's work. Moses is overwhelmed with the anticipated enormity and complexities of leadership tasks and responsibilities, and while he may be "taxed" and "burned" in the awesome process of taking them to their promised land, God's plans and purpose cannot be discomfited or extinguished.
