On a flight from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Rochester, Minnesota, a man tried to ease tensions by telling jokes and singing songs over the plane's public address system. He said he'd been "asked to announce that the landing gear was frozen" and the plane would have to make a belly landing in snow, "but not to be afraid because the pilots were very experienced." This bad news/good news story is reported to have generated some laughter.
