Folks in a small town will never forget the Christmas program the year Denny played the part of the innkeeper. A likeable fellow, Denny never made the first team or the honor roll. So he was surprised when Miss Dickson chose him for a part in the play. He ran home to tell his mother. Happy for him, she offered to help him learn his lines. He said, "I only have one line and I already know it." His mother wanted to hear him recite it, so he came out with it. "Be gone, Joseph. There is no room in the inn." Came the big night. The assembly room was full.
