A friend had tried all morning to phone her insurance company to report a claim. Each time she was put "on hold" while the operator answered prior calls. Two hours of her time were spent waiting. Finally her turn came. She was angry by that time and threatened to take her business elsewhere because of the inconvenience. The operator apologized, "I'm very sorry, but I had no choice in the matter. You should have called sooner in the day. Others were waiting and I could not get to you until they were answered! You were not the only one waiting!"
