Glenn had a passion for his home church. He grew up in the church, and was involved with the youth fellowship. As a young adult he taught Sunday school, was an advisor to the youth group, and went on several trips with them. He loved his church.

In truth, he did not like the direction that the church was headed. The church was once strong but was now in serious decline. They failed to attract new families who were buying homes in the community. Glenn was frustrated because no one else saw what he did, or cared.
