Harry Chapin wrote a song in the 1970s called "The Rock" about a huge rock that sat high above the town, and about a man who had a vision that it was going to fall.
He told the people and the leaders and they laughed at him. "It has been there forever, it will never fall," they said.
He made plans and they ignored him.
He went up and started bracing the rock. Suddenly the earth started shaking. He dashed in to try to brace it and the rock moved enough that the man disappeared.
