Emphasis Preaching Journal

Helen had suffered enough and told her children she was ready to be with Jesus. She was 73 and the cancer had spread through her abdomen and was traveling upward. She was tired of the pain. The children and other family were gathered around Helen's bed as she labored over her last breaths. Some wandered in and out; some were there round the clock. They were silent at times, talking quietly at other times and often crying and hugging. Every once in a while, Helen would make a comment.
