Henry David Thoreau made the telling observation, "Most people lead lives of quiet desperation."
While this may be true at many dimensions of living, it can be especially true of a person's spiritual life. Stress of life can put us at the edge of faith, racked by doubt, wondering about the "loving" God.
Thus it is necessary that every Christian be a watchful caretaker of another's spiritual life. Do we always realize "the quiet desperation" under which any fellow believer might be struggling with the faith?
