The Holy Spirit is the first installment on God's promises of fulfillment. The Spirit seemingly works in ways that are difficult from the human perspective to name and define. On one hand, we see the work of healing or speaking in tongues and say, "There!" or "There it is!" On the other hand, it may as much be in the quiet voice that urges us from within to "do more," to commit ourselves more fully to Christ's work, to deny ourselves something for the sake of God's higher goal.
