I doubted that water inhaled...

I doubted that water inhaled into my lungs could hurt me. After all the fish do it. But I was only a child with five years' experience in life. Then I tried it and I have never doubted since. I doubted that my home life was as good as my friend Tommy's. He had such interesting toys and his parents seemed so nice. But then at eight years old I stayed at Tommy's for two days while my parents were away. After that, I doubted no more. I doubted my scoutmaster's warnings about not digging a trench all around the tent and the terrible things a downpour of rain could do.
