I once met a woman who married three alcoholics. The first husband had an alcoholic temperament and, after marriage, became one. She was aware the second was an alcoholic and married him because she knew how to live with an alcoholic. The third was a chance encounter, a man from an entirely different background who offered a new start. Since both had good jobs, it was necessary at first to live in separate states. One day, especially wanting to be with him, she took a plane to surprise him. Arriving at the door she got no response.
