Emphasis Preaching Journal

I was invited to be a part of a pastor's discovery weekend. It was an event designed to get pastors together in a setting where they could share their faith journeys. Too often, the local pastor lives in a lonely environment. The timing was nearly perfect for me. I had just recently read a couple of the current hot-sellers in the local Christian bookstore. One was titled "Clergy Killers" by Lloyd Rediger. The book had been given to me by a member of my own elder board. We had shared a laugh or two about the title. But, there were not too many laughs in the book once you started reading it.
