The Internet and credit cards...

The Internet and credit cards have dramatically changed the practice of making travel plans. In the past, correspondence was necessary to confirm reservations. Now hoteliers can anticipate the arrival of their guests with greater certainty. Through the use of the Internet and home computers, guests are able to make their own reservations and confirm those plans with a credit card. Business owners know that they can collect for their accommodations and are subsequently able to anticipate that these guests really will arrive.
