Jacob's uncle was a trickster. Every time he came over to Jacob's house, he had a new trick to play or a new joke to tell. Jacob loved it when Uncle Ernest came over. One day, Uncle Ernest took a glass of water and set it on the table. He added a few drops of food coloring into it and said, "Instant cherry juice!" Before Jacob could take a drink, however, Uncle Ernest slapped himself on the forehead saying, "Shucks, I wanted water instead." From an eye dropper he added a few drops of a clear liquid, stirred it around, and the red color disappeared. Jacob was amazed.
