Japan is "the land of the rising sun." Its flag is a bright red sun on a pure white background, like the sun rising on a cloudless morning. It is a beautiful symbol to represent what David is describing about "one who rules over people justly." Unfortunately, Japan, under the passion of self-serving empire in the first half of the last century, did not rule in the fear of God. The nation had to be touched with an iron bar and a spear. The two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki left the people "entirely consumed in fire on the spot."
