Jesus has been the subject of about a 100 films. Some portray him with reverence. Some are blasphemous. Sometimes Jesus is a singer, sometimes a comedian. But, in his movie, The Passion, Mel Gibson, who is a devout Roman Catholic, will attempt to present the account of the day of Christ's crucifixion accurately. It will be told, boldly, in Latin (the language used by the Roman occupiers of Palestine,) and Aramaic (the language of most Semites at the time of Christ).
