Just after the Cuban revolution...

Just after the Cuban revolution, food was very scarce in the central mountains of the island, and a fellow minister and I had eaten black beans and rice at almost every meal for a week. One day, nearing the large, modern city of Santa Clara, we decided to see if we could improve upon our diet. We chose a very nice restaurant in the center of the beautiful city and were seated by a well-dressed, gracious host at a table fitted with fine silver, china and linen.
