In the little town where I live, we go hog wild at Christmastime, with little white lights and greens all over the shops and town square. This year a classy brass band played in that square and shoppers stopped to sing out "Hark The Herald Angels Sing," and "Joy To The World" among others. Best of all is the ancient evergreen in front of the Nassau Inn that shimmers with thousands of lights night after night in December. But I wanted to tell you about one Sunday morning, in January, when the greens were gone and grey had taken over the town in January's fashion.
