Lord Bacon once wrote about...

"Lord Bacon once wrote about bedridden truths and by this he meant truths not clearly seen or not realized effectively. There are, for example, nominal Christians who subscribe verbally to every article of the creed, but what they confess with their lips remains in them bed-ridden and sterile. Their mind is a bedroom of sleeping admissions, a sick ward of disabled beliefs, anemic sentiment and crippled purposes. This kind of faith does not energize, inspire, transform or make anything it touches to live."
