A man and a woman will say to each other: "I take you ... to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for the rest of my life." Which in God's eyes, is forever. Having God's favor is something that makes our lives better. Thank God that the apostle had the good sense to verbalize it. So often, we hear a "prosperity gospel," that if you do this and that, and thus and so, and the other thing, things will work out. But a "prosperity gospel" is a lie!
