In my weaker moments, usually after a particularly stressful meeting in which opinions are argued, I say that "ignorance screams while wisdom remains silent." I know it's not a pleasant thought. But why is it that people seem most certain when they know little or are convinced they are right? I recall a Peanuts cartoon in which Lucy shouts at the top of her lungs so that the entire neighborhood can hear her, "Olley, Olley Oxen Free!" For three panels she shouts.
