In the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible, the inclusive language adds sisters to v. 17. "Therefore he had to become like his brothers and sisters in every respect...."
How did Jesus become like me? Like one of his sisters?
How did he see life and experience it as I did? -- as a woman of faith?
What perspectives did he find when he saw the world through my eyes? Through feminine feelings?
He understood birthing and childhood and the care mothers take with that. For he was born of the flesh and his mother nurtured him.
