News came of the sudden passing of one of my beloved seminary professors. Twenty-five years ago I sat in his New Testament and pastoral theology classes. I also sat in the chapel as he witnessed to his Lord through fervent sermons.

More than that, through the three years I was on campus, I often observed this same professor huddled with an individual in deep conversation, or walking across the grounds with his arm around a student. He was the type of man who lived, in his life, what he proclaimed in classroom and church.
