No doubt Joseph was grateful...
Illustration
No doubt Joseph was grateful for his dreams, but it also must have seemed strange that Herod the Great was concerned about a two-year-old, to the extent of wanting him killed. Perhaps in our own time also it seems strange to refugees of lands where their lives are forfeited if they stay, even though it is home. In their efforts at "ethnic cleansing," it may not be overstating the case to suggest that somehow the Serbs of the former Yugoslavia have taken a few lessons from Herod.
