Normally our 13-year-old daughter loved her English class. But her opinion changed when she began to learn the rules of grammar. More often than not her grammar homework was accompanied by a chorus of, "I don't know why I have to learn this anyway." But one day that changed.
"Mom," our daughter called as she ran through the door following her youth group meeting. "I know why we had to learn grammar!"
"You do?" I asked.
"Yeah!" she responded. "It's so we can understand God."
