An old World War II...
Illustration
An old World War II story went something like this: A peasant, in a southeastern European country, moved his family to town and went to work in a factory making parts for sewing machines. After awhile, he got the idea that his wife would be happy to have a sewing machine. He decided that if he could smuggle out just one part a day when he went home from work and he had acquired all the parts, he could assemble a sewing machine for his wife. It took a long time to get all the parts home and, even after he did, the idea just didn't work out.
