One cannot hear the symphony with only the fingers. One cannot touch the softness of a baby with only the eyes. One cannot see the sunset with only the nose. One cannot smell the rose with only the tongue. One cannot taste honey with only the ear. Job needed more than one sense to perceive God. "I had heard you ... but now my eyes see you." We too can sense God only when we give our whole being, with all its senses, to the pursuit of that holy experience.
