One doesn't have to search too long to find the top sports dynasties. The Boston Celtics,
led by Bill Russell and Bob Cousy, rattled off eleven championships in thirteen years
(1957-1969). The New York Yankees, with the likes of Mantle, DiMaggio, and Berra,
won ten World Series in sixteen years (1947-1962), a stretch that saw them also lose the
Series three times in the seventh game. The UCLA Bruins, under one of the greatest
coaches of all time, John Wooden, won ten championships in the twelve years between
1964 and 1975.
