Emphasis Preaching Journal

One evening my wife and I had the opportunity to view a premiere performance of a new stage play. We were friends of the owner of the theater, and we were given free seats at the very front. From where we were seated, we could easily see the playwright who was there for the opening night. From our choice location, we could watch the expression on his face throughout the performance. We were interested in his reaction to certain lines and how they were said by the actors. Sometimes, we noticed an expression of approval, while we would occasionally see a scowl on his face.
