For over a year, Kate heard stories of devastation following Hurricane Katrina. People
from her church were organizing a short-term mission trip as well as collecting supplies
to help. Part of Kate wanted to go but another part did not. She did not know whether she
should go or not. Some of her friends were encouraging her to go with them on their
mission trip to New Orleans. Reluctantly, she agreed to go.
