As the pastor entered the music room to have a prayer with the choir, prior to the procession into the sanctuary, he chanced to overhear harsh words spoken between the organist and the choir director. It was time for the service to begin and any efforts to resolve the obvious differences would, of practical necessity, have to be postponed.

The worship service proceeded as usual and, as far as the people in the pews were concerned, all were of one accord.
