A pastor friend of mine...

A pastor friend of mine reported on a visit he made to the Soviet Union. "The only time in my life," he said, "when I was in a crowd in which I actually thought I might get crushed to death was, of all places, in a Baptist worship service in downtown Moscow. It was a large building, but even so it was packed to overflowing with more than a thousand worshipers. They'd heard the party line about how only fools believed in God. They knew how costly it could be to worship. Yet they came. And there was a spirit and fervor in that room that's impossible to describe."
