People just aren't saving enough...

"People just aren't saving enough," says Skip Mooney, a financial planner. "The savings rate in this country is at an historic low. It's just spend, spend, spend. We try to get people to sit down, organize a plan and systematically put funds away," he exclaims in frustration. A Harris Poll supports this statement. Their research found that twenty percent of retirees had little or no savings/investments and that 54 percent rely on Social Security for a daily living. The upshot here is that millions of people are unprepared for retirement. What Boomers want, Boomers often get.
